When Werner Frick presented his new cased and installation drills directly to building sites in the whole of Germany over 40 years’ ago, they literally snatched the first examples out of his hand.

The simple yet brilliant idea had immediate success, and life without it nowadays in the building and construction industry can hardly be envisaged. In 1982, Werner Frick GmbH was also the first BOSCH licensee for cased drills with the SDS-Plus mount.

Today, the family company produces the world’s largest product range in many different dimensions – Frick cased drills are known for the highest levels of quality and strength.

The production standard for this is formed by the safety requirements of the Professional Trade Association for Wood according to DIN 7490.

Frick guarantees immediate availability for all standard drill lengths in 400, 600, 800 and 1000 mm. Special lengths can also be supplied flexibly and quickly upon request.

The fine thread connection between drill and shaft, which was developed by Frick with a metal glue fixing, guarantees absolute safety against breakage and precise rotation properties. Any bending of the annealed steel of the shaft material is ruled out, even in the case of longer dimensions. All shafts with the SDS-Plus mount are fully hardened, in order to exclude the possibility of any damage to the drill tool. The drill bits, which are made from high-quality CV or HSS steel, enable optimum drilling results in wood, plasterboard as well as boards made from plaster and lightweight materials. HSS drills can also be used to drill into metal or metal plate.
